I really appreciate your contribution toward our school. I value your mission.
Not too long ago, when I was appointed the school principal, I didn't feel well, but I needed to work. The school was in poor condition, the building was poor, the student didn't study much, the school interest wasn't high, students didn't attend classes regularly. But now with God's help and other people with good will, many good things have been accomplished. I dreamed for these things to happen, but didn't believe that one day the school would be as it is today, that we have computers, libraries, etc. For me it was an unfulfilled dream, but now it has come true. Now I feel very well and I am trying to work hard so the school can accomplish its mission. Because now the conditions are good and student's interest has increased and their results are good as well. Thank you Steven.
I am working with the computers with groups. We have many demands from the student's part, because they all want to work in the computer. For this reason I have divided them into groups, and it is working.
What bothers me is the electricity shortage, because in Albania there are frequent shortages during the day, and that bothers me.
A couple of days ago, I received the disk with the program from Terri, translated by Valbona. I thank both. I installed the disk Mavis Beacon teacher typing. Now I am working with one of the groups, Alfonci and Augustine and their friends. They are enjoying it very much. The program was good because it teaches students to type faster. They become a lot quicker, they use it a lot. They would play all day long if we allowed them to.
The English course is going well. We are also working with the painters group. We have collected the best works and placed them on the wall in a special classroom with the purpose to increase student's interest in art. This project has brought good outcomes.
I have an idea for the future to organize a group with students called "Friends of Nature". The aim of this project is environmental education, where students acknowledge the values and the resources of the zone, to raise their conscious in protecting and improving the environment where they live and maybe this will encourage students to get involved with science, such as biology, geography and physics. We will need more books and teachers, maps ,as well as, questionnaires, for this zone's environmental problems. This project might expand to schools in Shkrel. In uniting together we might have seminars with teachers and compete with students from schools in Shkrel. This project has much value for students and teachers. It improves the quality of the educational process. This way the school fulfills its mission, to prepare the future citizens who are students of the present. What do you think?
