The Albanian Alps Institute

$500 sends a student to high school for one year. Students from the far villages must live in town to attend high school. This scholarship allows them to do so.
$250 helps with transportation costs for one year. Students who live in nearer villages must pay to ride the bus to school. This stipend helps to defray the cost.
$200 supports a girl in our Early Intervention program. We have established a small monthly line of credit at a bookstore in Shkoder for girls in elementary school. This "Early Intervention" program is intended to encourage village girls (and their parents) to view themselves as potential high school and university students and professionals.
An unrestricted donation of any size puts books in the school libraries and/or buys school supplies.
